My Journey

I’ve always been drawn to people and their stories. For more than 15 years, my work as a registered nurse, combined with my studies in biography, human development, and coaching, has been a journey of listening to the whole person and the many ways we continue to become.

I began my nursing journey in Japan, where I trained and worked as a registered nurse. After moving to the United States, I continued my nursing career and spent many years working with children and families, including pediatric nursing.

Nursing has allowed me to witness people during some of the most meaningful, vulnerable, and transformative moments of life. These experiences shaped the way I see people — looking beyond what is immediately visible, and listening to the whole person.

Why I do this work

The larger story
helps us see differently.

Our lives make more sense when we have the opportunity to see the larger story. Biography creates a little distance — enough to look, enough to wonder, and enough to discover something new.

It helps us recognize chapters, transitions, patterns, and relationships, and opens space for what may be emerging.

Every life has a story.
And every story is still becoming.
